Lowes

Friday we took a trip to Lowes, the kids went on a tour of the store....we got to see how a key was made, paint was mixed, and how a forklift operates. They talked to the kids about safety when using tools and when they are around tools and also how they stay safe in the store. It was fun and the children were surprisingly attentive while they were there...I think they were very interested in everything that was being talked about. Everyone received a project to work on along with a book and goggles to wear while working. They also were given a little apron but we are going to keep them so that they can wear them during messy art projects or for playing with the tools.
Lowes offers kids club projects every other Saturday outside in the lumber dept. at 10am so if you have a chance go and check it out...it would be a great way to have some quality time with your child while learning a new skill!
