Dramatic Play

At the end of the day this week Sabrina, Big Austin, and Adriana were playing with some of the hats and were so cute I just had to post these pictures...two year old's are so fun, I just love this age!
This week we learned about pirates, treasure, sailing ships and lots of fun pirate things...Karen had fun pirate books from the library to read during circle time, the kids made a treasure map and a treasure chest and other fun projects. We had a great week!

Lowes

Friday we took a trip to Lowes, the kids went on a tour of the store....we got to see how a key was made, paint was mixed, and how a forklift operates. They talked to the kids about safety when using tools and when they are around tools and also how they stay safe in the store. It was fun and the children were surprisingly attentive while they were there...I think they were very interested in everything that was being talked about. Everyone received a project to work on along with a book and goggles to wear while working. They also were given a little apron but we are going to keep them so that they can wear them during messy art projects or for playing with the tools.
Lowes offers kids club projects every other Saturday outside in the lumber dept. at 10am so if you have a chance go and check it out...it would be a great way to have some quality time with your child while learning a new skill!

Toady

I wanted to introduce a visitor to our program...his name is Toady (toadee). Toady is visiting our program from the solutions group, he goes around to different child cares and visits with children for a few weeks. Toady comes with a box of activities that we can choose from and then we replace the activities we used with different things for the next group. Toady provides a great way for children to learn to use their imagination as well as sharing and social skills. Toady will be joining us on field trips and playing in our classroom for the next few weeks so be sure to talk with your child about this experience.

Fun Babies

I LOVE these little guys! I just had to post these fun pictures of our babies, Sammy is so full of fun and spunk always doing something silly...he is trying so hard to walk and is so proud, clapping for himself all day.

Ian is a bundle of energy, he wants to go...go...go! He is trying so hard to get his balance and climb on everything, I don't think I have ever had a baby with so many bumps and thumps. He is just a happy little guy and always has a huge smile for me...such a sweet baby! I love this picture it looks like he is saying...here I come!

The Kids had a great time at Mary's Pizza Shack in Roseville, they were wonderful with the kids. The kids all got to go in small groups and tour the kitchen to see how the pizza is made, they got to see all the fresh ingredients that they use and choose what they wanted to eat on their pizza. After some coloring and playing with pizza dough they all got to eat pizza...they each had two slices! I was so surprised they could fit so much in their tummy's.

Aerospace Museum

Today we had a great trip to the Aerospace Museum, I took all 6...yes i said 6...little boys! Oh my gosh we had so much fun, this was a great trip for the boys they climbed on every plane and cockpit they could get into...turning nobs, pushing buttons and pulling levers. They had several volunteers around who were great with the kids and explained lots of different aircraft and their functions. After they were done flying planes and exploring we went over to the park so they could get all their extra energy out, it was one of the best parks we have been to! Such an amazing day with all my little guys, we will be visiting again in the near future...
